The 12 days of Papa (part 7)

As we prepare to depart Tom Price for Exmouth, some cheeky locals come by to say farewell.

But first, a 4 wheel drive adventure up Mt. Nameless which is the highest vehicular access mountain in W.A.

Tyre pressures lowered, 4 wheel drive engaged, we start the bumpy and rocky ascent. At times it almost feels as if we are going straight up vertically but the Prado,  even with six passengers on board, handles it with ease. And when we reach the top..............

Wow!!!!!!

Magnificent 360 degree views of the town, mines and surrounding countryside.

I'm King Of The World!!!

"Yes Roslyn"...............

The Tom Price Rio Tinto minesite.

The steep winding rocky track heading down off the mountain. Who knew 4 wheel driving could be so much fun?? Back now to the campsite to hitch up the van and start the next phase of our journey.

On the road now for the 528 klm leg to Exmouth and the Ningaloo Reef.

Are we happy to be here in Exmouth? You betcha!!

Dinner done, kids fast asleep, time for a cleansing ale or two while discussing our plans for the next few days.
